Stan Sportsman here with Dr. Travis Green of Gulf Coast Urology, sponsored by Boston Scientific. Travis, I’m of age now. I’m 42 and I’m having these conversations for the first time. It’s a little uneasy. I got some ego. Tell me why should we make it a priority to see a urologist to treat ED?
Dr. Green: A urologist can more thoroughly diagnose and treat these problems with erections. We’re able to do that better than any other healthcare provider out there. I spent time doing extra training to specialize in these issues. There’s many of those treatments out there from exercises to pills, to even surgery and an expert opinion is needed to guide you through that process. There are many people out there selling cures and promises that cost a lot of money, but do a lot of nothing. My goal is to get men their quality of life and confidence back through solid evidence-based medicine. It’s best to see a specialist such as me as soon as these signs present themselves.
